Ever feel like a thoroughbred on a carousel? Running fast, but not getting anywhere?
If you’re one of the select few, welcome to the ride. Get ready to take control of your life, create new income streams, and become an entrepreneur. Before you embark on this journey, it's important to pause and reflect. Does your approach to life and business align with the values that can sustain lasting success?
These values are what I call the "Core 4." They aren't just abstract principles; they’re the foundation of how I believe entrepreneurs should think and live. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re looking to scale your efforts, these values will help guide you on your entrepreneurial journey. Let’s break them down.
1. Time: You Don’t Get More of It
Time is the most precious asset we have—once it’s spent, you can’t get it back. In entrepreneurship (and in life), every decision you make either invests in your future or spends your time with little return. The successful entrepreneur learns to invest their time wisely, choosing projects and ventures that multiply their efforts.
How are you spending your time? Are you investing it in pursuits that align with your long-term goals? Or are you burning it up in endeavors that don’t bring you closer to where you want to be? Every second counts.
2. Lifestyle or Ongoing Income: Choose the Right Vehicle
The vehicle matters. You can’t just "work harder" in a fixed-income setting and expect to achieve true financial freedom. Hard work is important, but ownership and the right business model are crucial.
Said simply, you have to stop yelling at your bicycle for not taking you places only a rocketship can go. Many people are working hard, but they're stuck in a vehicle that simply can't help them create the life they’re after. To generate ongoing income, you need the right vehicle—something that allows you to build income streams that work for you even when you’re not actively working.
Is your current work or business model built to create ongoing income, or are you still exchanging time for money?
3. Fun: Winning With Your Best Friends
“There’s nothing more fun than winning with your best friends in life.” Fun isn't just about the occasional vacation or leisure activity. True fun comes when you’re living a life of freedom, doing what you love, wherever you choose, with the people you care about.
Imagine building a business that allows you to travel, experience life fully, and share it with your family and friends. Fun in entrepreneurship isn’t about escaping from your work—it’s about building a life where work and play are intertwined, where creating meaningful touchpoints with friends and family can be a daily occurrence.
Are you enjoying the ride, or are you just grinding away, devoid of any real joy?
4. Making a Difference: Blessed to Be a Blessing
You reap what you sow. Seed is undefeated. The most successful people understand that their wealth and influence are meant to bless others. Entrepreneurs who are in alignment with this principle know that they aren’t just building businesses to make money—they’re building to make a difference.
It’s not just about the bottom line; it’s about the legacy you leave and the impact you have on others. When you focus on sowing good seeds—whether it’s through helping others, creating jobs, or giving back to your community—those seeds will grow into a harvest that not only sustains you but also blesses those around you.
Are you planting the right seeds? What kind of legacy are you building?
Aligning with the Core 4
So, where do you stand? Do these Core 4 values resonate with you? Entrepreneurship is more than just creating income; it’s about creating a life that aligns with your deepest values. If these principles speak to you, you’re on the right path. If not, it may be time to reflect on your motivations and realign your priorities.
Questions to Consider:
1. Which of these Core 4 values do you connect with the most?
2. How are you currently investing your time? Is it bringing you closer to your goals?
3. Is your current income strategy capable of scaling into ongoing income?
4. Are you enjoying the process, or are you simply working to survive?
5. What difference do you want to make in the world with the success you create?
Your answers to these questions could be the key to unlocking a more fulfilling and successful entrepreneurial journey.
Are you ready to start your journey?
